Addington is a secluded and peaceful seaside cottage. Tucked away in a delightful location, this former fisherman’s cottage has been renovated beautifully to provide a comfortable and relaxing feel. A stone’s throw from the centre of the village with a butcher’s, convenience store, and inn, and just a five-minute walk to the pebble beach and two further inns. The cottage has three good sized bedrooms, two bathrooms and a utility room. The living room has the luxury of a log burner to create a cosy feel and extra warmth in the colder months. The garden is very private and has the sun all day long with an outdoor dining area, perfect for barbecues in the summer. This cottage is ideal for families and is dog friendly too. Kingsdown is an excellent location for cycling and long walks as well as being close to Deal, Sandwich and Dover. If you enjoy golf there is also good access to golf courses. Entering the front door into an entrance hall, a well fitted bathroom suite is to the right-hand side and to the left you enter the kitchen/breakfast room, fully fitted with a dining table for up to six people. Off the kitchen, there is a useful utility room with dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, sinks, freezer, and drinks fridge. Whilst to the rear, the sitting room has two large sofas, flat screen TV with FreeSat, a feature brick fireplace with the luxury of a wood burner for the cooler months and French doors opening to a raised sun deck. Stairs lead off from the kitchen/breakfast room to the first floor where you will find the two main bedrooms, and a separate shower room.
To the front is a lovely light bedroom overlooking the garden with a double bed, fitted wardrobes, and a chest of drawers. To the rear is a good size bedroom with large bunk beds, integrated wardrobe, and a chest of drawers. This bedroom has views down the hill with sea glimpses. Further stairs lead off down from the kitchen to a well-lit basement room with a double bed, side window, hanging space, shelves, and a chest of drawers. There is also a dehumidifier and a heater for your comfort. A folding desk and chair are provided should you wish to use the room for remote working. At the front of the cottage is a charming garden with outdoor dining area, perfect for barbecues in the summer. There is no parking with the cottage however unrestricted street parking can be found nearby on The Rise, Glen Road, King’s Close, and Sea Road. A handy trolley is provided to help with your luggage. Other things to note: Strictly no smoking on the property. The cottage features steep narrow stairs which are not suitable for those with limited mobility. There is a small pond in the garden so please ensure that children are not left unsupervised. Lastly, please note that the third bedroom is in the basement so there is a dehumidifier and heater for your comfort.
