About Kingsdown Holiday Park
Kingsdown Holiday Park has been on this stretch of the Kent coast since the 1970s. Guests who came as children now bring their own children. A few have brought their grandchildren.
The park sits in the village of Kingsdown, in the gap in the White Cliffs of Dover between Dover and Deal. It’s a quiet site. No entertainment programme, no on-site bar, no organised activities. What it has is a good location, a renovated outdoor pool, a safe car-free environment for children, and a beach you can walk to in five minutes.
How the Park Works
The holiday chalets and cottages at Kingsdown are privately owned. Each property is managed by its owner. When you book through this website, you are booking directly with that owner — not through an agency, not through a third party.
That structure matters. It means the person you speak to at booking is the same person who owns the property. They know what the chalet looks like, which view the bedrooms have, and what the best nearby restaurants are for a Friday night. The park management team handles the site — the pool, the grounds, the facilities — and the property owners handle their own accommodation.
There are no loyalty points. No branded stationery. What you get is an honest coastal break in a place that a lot of families have been coming back to for decades.
The Site
The park covers a clifftop site with sea-facing and park-facing chalets and cottages, an outdoor swimming pool that was recently renovated, a tennis court, children’s playground, table tennis, crazy golf, a volleyball pitch, and a launderette. The site is car-free once you park — children can move around freely.
Adjacent to the park is Kingsdown and Walmer Golf Club. The beach is a short walk through the village. The White Cliffs walk in both directions from the village is some of the best coastal walking in the country.
